Five Amazing Teen Success Stories

If it's inspiration you're after, then check out these kids OUR AGE killing it at life!

1- Mikaela Shiffrin

At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, skier Mikaela Shiffrin won the Olympic Gold Medal in giant slalom at just 18 years old, while the rest of us argued about prom themes!

2- Patty Duke
Valley Of The Dolls, Patty Duke, 1967
In 1962, Patty Duke won the Oscar for her famous role in The Miracle Worker.  She was 16.  While we were getting our learners permit, she was winning an Academy Award!

Side note: We have that picture of Patty on the left hanging in our break room.  Favorite poster in the office bar none.  And none of us knew it was Patty until we were researching this article!  We just thought it was a rad poster!

3- Cameron Johnson

Cameron Johnson started his own business at the age of 9, making party invitations.  From there he started other businesses, including selling Beanie Babies online.  We are living on our $20 a week allowance, and he was a millionaire before the 12th grade!

Check out our list of easy businesses anyone (especially teenagers!) can start to get the ball rolling on your first million!

4- Stephen Sutton

Stephen Sutton tragically passed away in May 2014 from cancer at the age of 19.  Stephen managed to raise close to $6million for cancer charities before he passed away.  What a hero.

Leann Rimes5- LeeAnn Rimes
LeeAnn Rimes was only 14 when she took the Grammy Awards by storm, winning the award for Best New Artist.  The next year, at the age of 15, she won the Grammy for Best Female Country singer.

When we were 14 we were worried about not getting lost on our first day of high school!
