Oh we get the illusion of freedom (you can choose one of the three paint colours your mom approved, you can choose which of your grandmas old dressers you want to take from her basement), but there is not much space for EXPRESSION in a teenagers bedroom.
Except for posters. Posters aren't permanent, and thus you can put them up, move them around and take them down as much as you want with minimal complaining from your folks.
As such, here are some of our favorite posters to fit any teenager's tastes!
The Traditional: Band Posters
Since before the days of Elvis, teenagers have been plastering posters of their favorite bands and singers on their wall. There's a reason this has been a trend since the beginning of posters: rock stars are cool and hot! Here are our faves:

Because honestly, who doesn't love the Beatles? The famous Abbey Road poster (left) is like $6, and will let people know you've got great taste in music from the second they step in your room.
Harry Styles from One Direction
Don't hate! Even if you don't like their music, Harry Styles is a babe and a half! And we found this poster (right) for five bucks! Can't beat that price.
Lana Del Rey
EVERYONE loves Lana right now, which is why we jumped at the chance to pick up this Lana poster (left) for LESS THAN FIVE DOLLARS. We actually bought a few to give as presents because they were so cheap and so perfect.
Justin Bieber
Stop being so quick to hate! We don't care if you think he can sing. We don't care if you think he's a jerk. That perfect bone structure makes up for all of that. We picked up this Believe poster (right) for $5 and could no be happier. Haters vacate.
Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones
He inspired one of the most popular songs of the decade, he sang for one of the most popular bands in history, he was voted one of the coolest men of all time, he's one of the most gorgeous rock stars ever, OH AND HE'S ALSO AN INSANELY TALENTED MUSICIAN. You could do worse than this $9 Mick Jagger Poster (left).
The Inspirational: Posters to Inspire Your Life
Daily affirmations work! It's a fact. The tricky part is remembering all the good things you want to accomplish that day. Waking up and going to sleep with inspirational posters like these on the wall is a great way to do just that.

The perfect way to remind yourself not to get caught up in all the teenage BS that you face on any given day. Middle school ends. High school ends. College ends. Remind yourself to keep your eye on the big picture. This poster (right) only cost us $11!

Sometimes we can get lost in the small picture and forget that life isn't waiting for us somewhere in the future. Life is happening right now. Appreciate the journey! We picked up this poster (right) for five dollars so we wouldn't forget.
The Awww: Cute and Adorable Posters
Who couldn't use a daily injection of cute into their lives? We'd much rather have an adorable poster to wake up to before looking at whatever my hair gets up to first thing in the morning!
Kitten + Dog
Black and white posters are cool and classy, but add in this adorable kitten gnawing on a wicker basket while a perplexed pup looks on and you have a recipe for best poster ever. It's only $5.99, too, which makes it ten times better (left)!
Ninja Kitten
Do you ever feel like a secret ninja in your day to day life? It takes ninja-like reflexes to tiptoe around your parents rules, sidestep drama amongst your friends, and navigate the social minefield that is teenage life. But you're also adorable, right?
